NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD MEETING of the County of Hidalgo Community Service Agency will be held at the Community Service Agency, located at 2524 North Closner in Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:
- Roll call and establish quorum
- Presentation and possible approval of Board Minutes for meeting of April 26, 2019.
- Discussion, consideration, and possible recommendation to create the following full-time permanent staff positions:
- Case Manager
- Central Client File System Worker/Eligibility Worker
- Reporting/Media Specialist
- Discussion, consideration, and possible action to proceed with procurement of mobile emergency response unit.
- Discussion, consideration, and possible action to recommend acceptance of $300,000 General Assistance Grant from the Texas Veterans Commission for PY 2019-2020.
- Discussion, consideration, and possible action to proclaim Community Action week for May 28-31.
- Discussion, consideration, and possible action to adopt the Reasonable Accommodations for Client Interview policy.
- Discussion and authorization to recommend utilization of Community Service Block Grant Funds for purchase of twenty laptops and hot spot devices to be utilized to provide utility assistance, home visits, emergency response, community events, and also for purposes of the census.
- Discussion regarding replenishment of Local Funds.
- Discussion and review of home visit policy and subsequent referrals.
- Executive Director Report
- Present client survey results for CSA and Bravo Zulu for April 2019.
- Provide board members programmatic and outcomes reports for the month of April 2019 for current programs.
- Agency program financial reports
- Community Outreach for County Precincts
- May Community Action Month Calendar
- Community Comments
