NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD MEETING of the County of Hidalgo Community Service Agency will be held at the Community Service Agency, located at 2524 North Closner in Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

  1. Roll call and establish quorum
 
  1. Presentation and possible approval of Board Minutes for meeting held on April 3, 2020 and April 9, 2020.  
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and ratification to adopt the COVID-2019 Disaster Assistance Matrix as recommended by action of the Community Service Advisory Board.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and ratification to approve the Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) Discretionary Funds from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for COVID-19 related response, and authorization for Jaime Longoria to electronically sign any and all pertinent documents.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and ratification to accept COVID-19 Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) allocation in the amount of $3,785,788 from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs, with authorization for Jaime Longoria to electronically sign any and all pertinent documents.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and ratification to approve the Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) Disaster Relief Supplemental Funds Contract #61200003282 for FY 2020 from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affair, with authorization for Jaime Longoria to electronically sign any and all pertinent documents.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, ratification to approval to accept and allocate PY 2020 Direct Deposit EFT from Direct Energy, LP in the amount of $25,000 to Neighbor to Neighbor Fund, for benefit of Hidalgo County Residents for utility assistance.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and ratification to accept and allocate PY 2020 Direct Deposit EFT from Magic Valley Electric Cooperative in the amount of $5,000 to MVEC Cares Program, for benefit of Hidalgo County Residents for utility assistance during the crisis.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and ratification to accept the 150 - $35.00 Wal-Mart gift cards totaling $5,250.00 from Superior HealthPlan for benefit of Hidalgo County Residents for assistance during the crisis.
 
  1. Proclamation designating May 2020 as Community Action Month.
 
  1. Discussion and consideration regarding possible salary adjustment for all Community Service Personnel.
 
  1. Executive Director's Report
  1. Present client survey results for CSA and Bravo Zulu April 2020.  
  2. Provide board members programmatic and outcomes reports for Program April 2020.
  3. Financial Reports

Community Participation: The Advisory Board welcomes individuals or delegations who wish to participate in the meeting during any portion of the meeting or during Community Comments. Community members wishing to address the Board may sign up prior to the meeting with the Executive Secretary or designee by providing name and item number to be addressed.
