NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD MEETING of the County of Hidalgo Community Service Agency will be held at the Community Service Agency, located at 2524 North Closner in Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

  1. Roll call and establish quorum
 
  1. Presentation and possible approval of Board Minutes for meeting held on September 25, 2020.  
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and possible action to amend the 2020 Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) budget for program year of 2020.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and possible action to amend the CSBG Cares Act Services Matrix:            
A.) Additional months service to each month category and B.) Include purchase of equipment necessary for distance education learning.
 
  1. Discussion regarding expiring terms for public official and authorized representative: Representative of the Poor: District 2: Chairman Julian Martinez Term Date 04/2017-04/2020 and to fill vacancy of elected official of City of Pharr: Representative pf the Poor.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and ratification to authorize the surplus of obsolete items from the permanent inventory of the Community Service Agency.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and ratification for Community Service Agency to apply for the 2021-2022 Texas Veterans Commission General Assistance Grant (Operation Bravo Zulu).  
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and ratification to approve to approve the renewal notice of funding opportunity for the Americorps Senior Programs: Senior Companions Program (SCP) Grant:18SCWTX003 and the Foster Grandparents Program (FGP) Grant: 18SFWTX002 for program year 2021.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and ratification to amend the 2020 Comprehensive Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) Service Delivery Plan for program year of 2020.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and ratification to accept donation in the amount of $200 in gift cards from H-E-B for the use of Operation COVID-19 Shield.

Community Participation: The Advisory Board welcomes individuals or delegations who wish to participate in the meeting during any portion of the meeting or during Community Comments.
