NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD MEETING of the County of Hidalgo Community Service Agency will be held at the Community Service Agency, located at 2524 North Closner in Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

  1. Roll call and establish quorum.
 
  1. Presentation and possible approval of Board Minutes for meeting held on March 5, 2021.
 
  1. Presentation and discussion regarding the Proclamation declaring May 2021 as Community Action Month.
 
  1. Update regarding the Urban County Rental Relief Program.
 
  1. Update regarding the Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) contracted with Yadri Systems.
 
  1. Update regarding the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) funds of approximately $160.000 from Urban County.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and ratification to create the (3) full-time temporary positions (pending budget approval) for six (6) months beginning 04/01/2021 and ending 09/30/2021, as follows: Action Dept./Prg. Slot Position Title Proposed Salary Create 901-033 T079 Case Study Manager $32,115.00, Create 901-033 T080 Eligibility Worker II $29,801.00, and Create 901-033 T081 Coordinator II  $43,796.00.
 
  1. Discussion, consideration, and ratification to open two bank accounts for each of the following grants: Rental Relief Program and Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP), with designation for Hidalgo County Judge Richard Cortez and CSA Executive Director Jaime Longoria as signatories on such accounts. 2. Authorization for Jaime Longoria and County Judge to sign any and all pertinent documents associated with the establishment of the accounts.

Community Participation: The Advisory Board welcomes individuals or delegations who wish to participate in the meeting during any portion of the meeting or during Community Comments.
