NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Drainage District #1 Board of Directors will be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom of the Administration Building, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

A. Approval of Work Authorization # 16 for Special Services relating to the installation and set-up services for the hardware / software for Geographic Information System (GIS) database.
B. Approval of Work Authorization #2 and #3 to Work Authorization #11 for Professional Engineering Services for the Master Drainage System Phase II in relation to basis services for the final design and construction phase and special services for surveying for right of way acquisition on the Jackson Drain Project.
C. Approval of Supplemental Agreement #2 to Work Authorization #2 for additional Professional Engineering services in the form of Hydraulic Analysis required for a Secondary Outfall of the Penitas Drain Basin.
B. Vacant slots 25, 50, 81 & 82 approved by Board on July 3, 2007 for scraper positions.
B. Reclassify vacant slots:
#38 from mechanic to Head Mechanic, set salary @ $35,000.00
#70 from excavator/skid loader operator to Loader operator (no change in $)

B. Approval of Geophysical Explorer, LTD seismographic permit application for geophysical surveys on right of way and easements along HCDD1 facilities.

A.) Requesting approval to reject sole bid received for Bid No: 07-014-09-26 "Precast Box Culverts" and approval to readvertise.
B.) Requesting approval of an Inter-Local Agreement authorizing Hidalgo County Drainage District No.1 in becoming a member of the Harris County Department of Education & Governmental Entity thus allowing the District to purchase goods and services. (No Membership Fees)

Request approval of Payment application #1 for the construction of the Alamo Drain, to Jimmy Closner and Sons Construction Co., Inc.; Master Drainage Project Phase II.
