NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551 Texas Government Code and Section 318.005 of the Texas Local Government Code, that a Meeting of the Historical Commission will be held. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

    1. Members are expected to attend all scheduled meetings. The new bylaws state that any member who misses three (3) consecutive meetings or four (4) meetings over the course of their term shall be removed from the Hidalgo County Historical Commission unless the absence(s) are excused by a vote of members present.

    1. Nominations will be taken and appointments made from among the members to fill the Standing Committees, including the positions of Chair and Vice Chair of each committee.
    2. The Chair will make appointments to fill the officer positions on the Executive Committee from among the members for the following positions: Vice Chairs, Secretary, and Treasurer. These appointments shall be ratified by a majority vote of members present.
