NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Drainage District #1 Board of Directors will be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom of the Administration Building, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

6.
A. Request Authority to submit Individual Work Order (IWO) No.'s 3, 4, 5, and 6 to the International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC) as it relates to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Segments and the Internal Floodway System.
B. Request Approval of the following Work Authorizations (WA) for Professional Engineering services for Partial Preliminary design, Geo-technical, Surveying, Cultural Resources Investigations and Right of Way services as it relates to the Hidalgo County Levee Improvement Project - Segments:
1. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Segment 0-5, Interior North Levee from Anzalduas Dam (1.76 Miles to East Side of Granjeno, TX); Work Authorization No.13, Work Authorization No. 5 and Supplemental No. 1 & 2 to Work Authorization No.5.
2. DHS Segment 0-5, for North Levee / East Side of Granjeno from East Side of DHS Segment 0-5 (2.9 Miles East to 23rd Street); Work Authorization No. 14, Work Authorization No. 6 and Supplemental No. 1,2 and 3 to Work Authorization No. 6.
3. DHS Segment 0-7, Concrete Flood wall (2.43 Miles); Work Authorization No. 15 Work Authorization No. 7 and Supplemental No. 1 & 2 to Work Authorization No. 7.
4. DHS Segment 0-8, Concrete Flood wall (3.20 Miles); Work Authorization No. 16, Work Authorization No. 8 and Supplemental No. 1 & 2 to Work Authorization No. 8.
5. DHS Segment 0-9, Concrete Flood wall (3.87 Miles); Work Authorization No. 17, Work Authorization No. 9 and Supplemental No. 1 & 2 to Work Authorization No. 9.
6. DHS Segment 0-10, Concrete Flood wall (2.43 Miles); Work Authorization No. 18, Work Authorization No. 10 and Supplemental No. 1 & 2 to Work Authorization No. 10.
C. Approval of Budget Amendment to transfer funds needed for the Levee Improvement Project from the 2007 Bond Proceeds, Fund 131.
D. Approval of Budget Amendment in the District's Geneal Fund for the Carry-overs of encumbrances the District's administration and maintenance and operations budgets.
E. Approval of Budget Amendment of the 2007 available budget balances for the District's Capital Project Funds needed for the continuance of the Projects in 2008. Funds 130 and 131 Bond Series.
