NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a REGULAR MEETING of the Drainage District #1 Board of Directors will be held in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Courthouse Annex III Building, 100 E. Cano, 1st floor, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. The Board of Directors may, at any time during this meeting, retire to a closed meeting pursuant to ยง551.071(2) of the Texas Government Code to seek the advice from its attorney on any subject slated for discussion or action on the agenda. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

1. Requesting approval of budget amendments to carry over the December 31, 2023, available budgets into the District's 2024 Capital Project Fund-130 and Special Revenue Fund-127. This will facilitate the budgetary accounting for continued operations and construction of District Projects that have been approved by the board.
2. Request Approval of a Budget Amendment to transfer out of the General Fund $500,400 to Special Revenue Fund 127 to fund the District's portion of the 2018 and 2019 General Land Office grant with Urban County. Projects are as listed:

3. Requesting approval of a Budget Amendment in the amount of $1,300,000 from the District's General Fund to the Capital Projects Fund 130 in order to continue the construction of the new training facility.
Board of Directors may go into Closed Session pursuant to Subchapter D of Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code to discuss the following:
a) Pending or Contemplated Litigation: b) a Settlement Offer: or c) a Matter in Which the Duty of the Attorney to the Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas Clearly Conflicts with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code (Tex. Gov't. Code 551.071)
