AGENDA HIDALGO COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COURT EMERGENCY MEETING APRIL 3, 2025 11:00 A.M. |

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551.045 (b)(1) (media has been contacted), Texas Government Code, that an EMERGENCY MEETING of the Commissioners Court will be held due to severe weather and flooding caused by March 27, 2025 rain event which continues to pose an imminent threat to the public health, safety and well-being of the citizens of Hidalgo County, will be held in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Administration Building, 100 E. Cano, 1st floor, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:
In accordance with Section 551.127, NOTICE is hereby given that a physical quorum, including the presiding officer/member, will be present at the specified meeting location. Some members of the governing body and/or government officials may participate via videoconference.

2. Presentation, discussion and authorization for the County Judge to sign the required documentation.
2. Authority for the Treasurer's Office to process payroll on April 4, 2025, a non-payroll date, for employees terminated due to the conclusion of the following grants:
A. Immunization/COVID (Program# 079-081 & 084)
B. Epidemiology Laboratory Capacity (ELC/COVID-Program# 077)
C. Health Disparities/COVID (Program# 083).
Grant funding ended on March 24, 2025; days worked from March 25-26 will be covered under the General Fund.
2. Approval to waive posting requirements in accordance with Civil Service Commission Rules, Section 3.49.
