Presentation of a recommendation for discussion, consideration and action for Hidalgo County to waive the "technicality" (as permitted under procurement packet's legal notices) of a vendor (Torres Building & Construction, L.L.C.) not returning/submitting a "request for bid cover letter" with the bid submitted, thus permitting the Hidalgo County UCP to tabulate, analyze and present the bid for consideration and possible award inasmuch as it is in the County's best interest to do so;

The Urban County Program is requesting the award of bids and approval of contracts for the demolition and reconstruction of one (1) unit in the Countywide, two (2) units in the City of Weslaco, two (2) units in the City of Alamo in the total amount of $241,270.00 to Torres Building & Construction, L.L.C., and one (1) unit in the City of Mercedes in the total amount of $59,800 to J.D. Villarreal Construction.
