NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Commissioners' Court will be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom of the Administration Building, 100 E. Cano, 1st floor, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

Discussion, consideration, and action accepting USDA loan-grant and submit loan program documents to the USDA Rural Development Community Program to purchase two first responder trucks and one first responder crime scene unit in the amount of $364,404.50 to be funded as follows:  
  $46,308.00 will be re-imbursed from grant funds, 
  $93,096.00 will be paid from the Sheriffs forfeiture funds  
  $225,000.00 (loan) will be paid from General Fund.

Urban County Program is requesting approval of the final negotiated Materials Testing Services contract with L&G Engineering Laboratory, in the amount of $5,444.30 utilizing Year 17 (2004) Urban County Program Sewer Line project in the City of Weslaco as previously authorized for negotiations by Commissioners' Court on 5-19-2008.
