NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Drainage District #1 Board of Directors will be held in the Commissioners' Courtroom of the Administration Building, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

Approval of Consent Agenda

Request approval and acceptance of Engagement Letter with Burton McCumber and Cortez L.L.P, Certified Public Accountants for the District 2008 Financial and Single Audit.

A. Approval of Right of entry for tract of land containing 0.988 of one acre (43,050 sq.ft.) within the city of McAllen, Hidalgo County Texas being part or portion of Lot 6, Section 5, recorded in V/Q, page 77 Hidalgo County Deed Records.
B. Approval for appraisal of parcel as it relates to 0.988 of one acre to Lot 6, Section 5 Hidalgo Canal Co. Subdivision.
C. Approval to create a new full time Front Desk Clerk position, slot #13, set salary of $20,700.00

D. Approval of revised salary schedule.

B. Request approval of Budget Amendment from the District General Fund to appropriate for the purchase of 19.32 acres for the Donna/ Weslaco Expressway 83 Drainage Parcel #1 and materials needed for Monica Acres Drainage Outfall Precinct 3 and Exp 83/Bridge Ave. Project.
