BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this 10th day of September A.D., 2015, there was begun and held a SPECIAL MEETING of the Honorable Commissioners’ Court of Hidalgo County, Texas, wherein the following members thereof were present, to-wit:

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Commissioners' Court will be held at the Edinburg Council Chambers 415 W. University Drive, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

All members of the Court were in attendance.

Commissioner Palacios stepped away from the meeting.
Judge Garcia led the Court and audience in reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.

Virginia Townsend led the Prayer.

Open Forum
Fern McClaugherty spoke about the proposed budget for next year, she mentioned that due to the tax rate and property values people won’t be able to pay for their mortgages.
Commissioner Palacios joined the meeting.
Virginia Townsend mentioned how hard the budget time can be however, she requested to also consider the administrative salary side and to be fair all around.
Judge Garcia expressed the position that all five court members have taken on the salary increase, they all have declined the raise.
