BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this 20th day of June A.D., 2016, there was begun and held a SPECIAL MEETING of the Honorable Commissioners’ Court of Hidalgo County, Texas, wherein the following members thereof were present, to-wit:

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Drainage District #1 Board of Directors will be held at the Edinburg Council Chambers 415 W. University Drive, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

Board Member Eduardo "Eddie" Cantu joined the meeting.
1) Norma Aldape, LUPE Organization, thanked Drainage Director Mr. Sesin for attending a meeting regarding the drainage improvements in the subdivision. Mrs. Aldape also acknowledged all the work being done by Commissioner Cuellar.

Discussion on Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 Drainage projects, maintenance and operations
Mr. Sesin informed of the meeting held with LUPE and ARISE, notifying on the projects being worked around the precinct 1 area.
Furthermore, he mentioned the ongoing work to the drainage website. Currently, they are working on over 50 project however, they are focusing on the 2012 Bond Projects.

Authority to advertise and approval of plans and specifications developed by project engineer, Mr. Jose N. Saldivar, P.E., for: Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 -"Hidalgo County Precinct No. 1 -Mile 6 West & Mile 14 North Area Drainage Improvement Project"-RFB No. HCDD1-16-031-07-13, including the re-advertising of projects in the event no Bid responses are received and/or are rejected and project is still required.
On motion by BOARD MEMBER PCT. 1, A.C. CUELLAR, JR., seconded by BOARD MEMBER PCT. 2, EDUARDO “EDDIE” CANTU, the Board made a UNANIMOUS vote of approval.

C.) Requesting authority for Drainage District to negotiate a Professional Agreement for Engineering Services with the number one ranked firm of Halff & Associates, as it relates to the Hidalgo County Drainage District No. 1 New Administration Facility & Site Improvements Project.
On motion by BOARD MEMBER PCT. 2, EDUARDO “EDDIE” CANTU, seconded by BOARD MEMBER PCT. 1, A.C. CUELLAR, JR., the Board made a UNANIMOUS vote of approval.
