NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Commissioners' Court will be held at the Edinburg Council Chambers 415 W. University Drive, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

Commissioner Palacios informed that this project was a partnership with the McAllen Public Utility Board. Both qualified for the same funds, allowing to switch from septic systems to sanitary systems. The commissioner acknowledged the work done by the drainage district. 

Commissioner Cantu stepped away from the meeting.

2) Virginia Townsand claimed that the health district will only benefit the people from northern Mexico.

3) Opal Billman stated that homes and businesses have been built in the land belonging to Joe Billman and herself. She petitioned these building be remove. Further, declaring that the 275th District Court determined the land to be excess land with no value.

4) Pedro Ayala invited the court members to attend an event at the Museum of South Texas History on October 4, 2016. The event will focus on the preservation of the Valley's history.

Commissioner Palacios joined the meeting.
