Children's Advocacy Center d/b/a Estrella's House (1100):
1. Discussion, consideration, and action regarding funding request in the amount of $50,000.00 from the Children's Advocacy Center, d/b/a Estrella's House.

Mrs. Medina gave thanks to commissioners court for all their support and contribution. Informing that every dollar obtain from this court allows them to receive $4.00 of matching federal funds. The director announced that they're looking into opening an additional center in the City of Mission and City of Weslaco to keep helping children in the community.

Representatives from the Texas Healthy Communities Program will recognize Hidalgo County for its efforts to reduce cardiovascular disease, stroke, and other chronic diseases.

Texas Department of State Health Service Program Specialist Rachel Coughlin presented a recognition to the Hidalgo County Health and Human Services. The county was able to increase its score by 25 points, going form 49.5 to 74.5 all within one year. Coughlin recognized all the work done by Misti Palacios and Rick Salinas.

Mr. Olivarez acknowledged the other partners in the community.

Acceptance and approval of Work Authorization No. 10 (with an estimated cost of $ 23,993.25) as submitted by Millennium Engineers Group, Inc. for [FEMA Project Site #11]: “Mile 2 1/2 East Road (Mile 3N to Mile 4N)” within Hidalgo County Precinct No. 1, in connection to agreement # C-16-328-08-30.
K. Acceptance and approval of Work Authorization No. 11 (with an estimated cost of $ 19,034.25) as submitted by Millennium Engineers Group, Inc. for [FEMA Project Site #12]: “Mile 4 North Road (FM 491 to Pedro Martinez Road)” within Hidalgo County Precinct No. 1, in connection to agreement # C-16-328-08-30.

Mr. Cruz informed that there concerns by the auditor regarding the term of the contracts, given that the FEMA PW's expire at the end of this year. However, have submitted the extension letter and do anticipate a favorable respond. 

Mr. Crain stated that it is for all 11 sites.
