BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this 28th day of November A.D., 2017, there was begun and held a SPECIAL MEETING of the Honorable Commissioners’ Court of Hidalgo County, Texas, wherein the following members thereof were present, to-wit:

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Drainage District #1 Board of Directors will be held at the Edinburg Council Chambers 415 W. University Drive, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

CONSENT AGENDA
The following items are of a routine or administrative nature. The Drainage District #1 Board has been furnished with background and support on each item, and/or it has been discussed at a previous meeting. All items will be acted upon by one vote without being discussed separately unless requested by a Board Member, in which event the item or items will immediately be withdrawn for individual consideration in its normal sequence after the items not requiring separate discussion have been acted upon. The remaining items will be adopted by one vote.

Discussion on Hidalgo County Drainage District No.1 projects, maintenance and operations:
A.) Pct. 2 & 4 - FM 495 Drain Control Structure
Project located in precinct 2 but serves into the precinct 4 area as well. The structure is located in precinct 4 but the ditch originates in precinct 2, around the Cesar Chavez and Raul Longoria area starting approximately from FM 495. The project is a bond project which has been identified and are ready to put it out for construction.
B.) Pct. 4 - La Mesa Area Drainage Improvements Project
Sesin informed that this area has experienced issues in the past, through the in-house engineering team they have conducted an evaluation of the area looking at the downstream improvements that are needed, crossings and internal improvements on the south east corner of the development. Precinct 1 recently improved mile 11 north, the district is looking to identify onsite drainage acquisitions needed.
C.) Pct. 1 - North Alamo Village Stub
Project on Sioux Rd. east of Tower Rd. they are hopeful to finish with acquisition this year and move to construction by next year.
