BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this 12th day of December A.D., 2017, there was begun and held a SPECIAL MEETING of the Honorable Commissioners’ Court of Hidalgo County, Texas, wherein the following members thereof were present, to-wit:

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Drainage District #1 Board of Directors will be held at the Edinburg Council Chambers 415 W. University Drive, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

Discussion on Hidalgo County Drainage District No.1 projects, maintenance and operations:
A.) Pct. 4 - Alberta Drain
A partnership project with the general land office (GLO) and precinct 4, the GLO portion of the project is part of the ditch work. This created a 1/2 mile ditch and storm sewer systems in the Tower and Owassa areas. The precinct through in-house has extended the sewer system into Owassa Acres, Brenda Estates No.3, Rincon Del Valle No.4 and No.4, Cano Estates, and El Charro Subdivision. Sesin reported that close to $2 million dollars was invested into this area. At the moment drainage is complete, they are just lacking paving the streets which the precinct will do.
B.) Pct. 4 - Schunior Drain / Tex Mex Project
In-house project that the district is undertaking in the area of Tex Mex Rd. and Val Verde Rd. in precinct 4. They broke down the project into phases, and had two contractors as part of the project. They worked on crossings on Tex Mex Rd. and around the surrounding schools and 87 St. Sesin reported that they're almost complete with the crossing of Val Verde and Dillon Rd. to better improve drainage in that area. The school gave them an additional easement which help shift the ditch and create more volume.
