For the office of Constable Marichalar, there will be a formality as to the transfer from the two deputies from constable precinct 1, along with the transfer of all the gear and equipment that goes with them. One clerk position will be created and also the creation of other slots for Justice of the Peace Judge Peña.

Judge Garcia emphasized to the new constable that they were made aware of the increase of criminal cases that occur in the Delta area from the time precinct 5 was done away with. The judge noted that some constables believe that investigating criminal cases is not part of their responsibilities. However, the judge indicated that in this case, this will be a large part of his new responsibility as constable.

Commissioner Fuentes thanked the court for approving this item and allowing to expand services to county residents.
