BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this 20th day of March A.D., 2018, there was begun and held a SPECIAL MEETING of the Honorable Commissioners’ Court of Hidalgo County, Texas, wherein the following members thereof were present, to-wit:

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Commissioners Court will be held in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Administration Building, 100 E. Cano, 1st floor, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

Open Forum
- Fern McClaugherty recognized all the work done by the drainage district. She expressed concerns over the open forum and public participation process during the drainage meetings.
- Joe Olivarez acknowledged the great work accomplished by the district.
- Prisila Perales thanked Board Member Eduardo "Eddie" Cantu for assisting in the installation of drainage and paving the streets.
- Janet Rodriguez thanked Board Member Joe M. Flores for the installation of public lighting.

Discussion on Texas Restore Bucket 1 Federal application submitted for Raymondville Drain Project Phase 2 Restoration and Flood Control.
Raul Sesin informed that the first application was submitted in 2016, taking the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality some time to obtain the rankings, finally identifying the Raymondville Drain. They re-submitted the application with TCEQ and are now seeking $7 million dollars in order to do the improvements on the current Raymondville Drain that's part of the Delta irrigation system. The money will be allocated for the cleaning of the existing system, however the district will performed the services.
