NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Commissioners Court will be held in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Administration Building, 100 E. Cano, 1st floor, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

Dr. K.C. Fletcher spoke about the county's debt as of September 2018, and also stated concerns over the spending of district funds. Further, he encouraged planting native trees at the new courthouse.

Approval of 2018 Tax Roll Totals for Hidalgo County Drainage District No.1
Tax Assessor-Collector Pablo "Paul" Villarreal presented the 2018 tax roll as of October 31, 2018. Currently, the district has number accounts of a total of $318,406 and a total market value is of $43,951,582,942 for a taxable value of $34,732,762,896 the total levy for the district is of $33,062,978.36
On motion by BOARD MEMBER PCT. 4, JOSEPH PALACIOS, seconded by BOARD MEMBER PCT. 2, EDUARDO “EDDIE” CANTU, the Board made a UNANIMOUS vote of approval.

Sesin explained that they want to provide uniforms to all their employees via stipend. A six month employment requirement would be established. The yearly amount is of $350.00
