Fern McClaugherty raised concerns for the poor uneducated people in the community who do not have access to computers or internet. She stated these people are unable to access or dispute property values for their taxes. She also wanted to know if the county could monitor tire shops who might be responsible to illegal dumping; that clog our drainage systems.
Anna Gonzalez, form ARISE precinct 4, thanks the Court for the support on the Public Lighting program. She also requested a minimum of $500,000 be allocated for lighting infrastructure in the colonias. She stated this is equivalent to .23% which is less than 1% of the yearly money allocated for public lighting. She also requested for a minimum of two colonias from each precinct be furnished with lights per year.
Clara Miranda, from Dora Subdivision, thanks the Court for the lighting that was added to her colonia. However, she stated the department who put up the lights skipped some areas. She wonders if someone will be going back to put lights in those missing areas.
