Valde Guerra informs the Court of issues with the Chillers in the Courthouse. The Chillers were shutdown for emergency repairs and are up and running again. He also informs the Court of upcoming maintenance on the elevator shaft at the courthouse.

Martha Salazar presents the Court with the proposal plan. The discussion is aimed at any modifications needed before advertisement is published on Saturday July 20, 2019.
Judge Richard Cortez requests modifications/clarification on several issues. He wants to make sure the carries are aware the county will not paying commissions. Ms. Salazar stated they have two options for the carrier to directly respond to the advertisement or to do so thru an agent that is up to them. It will also be up to the Court if they want to go with an agency with or without an agent. The Judge questions how many agents the Court wants. Commissioner Eduardo "Eddie" Cantu stated he wants more than 3 agents. He also stated the Court will pick the agents. Judge Cortez stated he wants the enrollers to be the obligation of the carrier and the enrollers must be knowledgeable. He wants to make sure the carriers will be forthcoming with any rebates that are available to the County. Ms Salazar stated they have already made that clear in the proposal. Judge Richard Cortez would like a committee assigned to evaluate the carriers. Commissioner Eduardo " Eddie" Cantu stated the members of the Court will be on the committee along with 6 others from different departments.
Ms. Salazar asks if the Court has any additional modifications that might have not already been discussed before the advertisement.
