NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Commissioners Court will be held in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Administration Building, 100 E. Cano, 1st floor, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

The court was led by United States Army Veteran, Felix Rodriguez, the entire court recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

Opening prayer was offered by Julia Sullivan. A moment of silence was offered for those who lost their lives in the recent mass shootings.
The Court moved to recess Commissioners Court and return to Workshop at 10:05 a.m.
On motion by COMMISSIONER PCT. 2, EDUARDO “EDDIE” CANTU, seconded by COMMISSIONER PCT. 3, JOE FLORES, the Court made a UNANIMOUS vote of approval.
Vote: 4 - 0 –Unanimously

Ms. Marty Salazar updates the Court on the option of Aggregation Pools for new electric energy provider. If the Court decides to go this route then an RFP and consultants would not be necessary.

Fern McClaughtery informs the Court of her concerns with the Elections Building. She challenges the Commissioners and the Judge to visit the Elections Building. She informed the Court the building is in bad shape and the employees are frequently sick because of the rodent infestation.
Jerusalem Flores is appealing for property tax relief for the people of Hidalgo County.
