NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Commissioners Court will be held in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Administration Building, 100 E. Cano, 1st floor, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

The Court proceeded to the approval of the Consent Agenda

Valde Guerra asked the Court to pull items 9.A., 9.D., 12.C., 11.A. & 11.B. from the Consent Agenda.

The District Attorney's Office, students from Lamaar Academy, along with other entities and agencies of Hidalgo County, came in collaborative efforts to bring awareness and prevention, as Teen Dating Violence is on the rise. Furthermore, District Attorney, Ricardo Rodriguez, will be awarded the Texas for Partner Award, due to his dedication and efforts in bringing awareness and prevention to the citizens of Hidalgo County.

The Court proceeded to the Drainage District Agenda, and recessed the Regular meeting. (Audio Reference 49m:00s)

Mr. Villarreal gave a brief overview of his background, in which Mr. Villarreal was previously working for UTRGV for 30 years in facility maintenance and construction. The Court was pleased with his experience and they look forward to working with Mr. Villarreal.
