NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Commissioners Court will be held in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Administration Building, 100 E. Cano, 1st floor, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

CONSENT AGENDA
The following items are of a routine or administrative nature. The Commissioners' Court has been furnished with background and support on each item, and/or it has been discussed at a previous meeting. All items will be acted upon by one vote without being discussed separately unless requested by a Court Commissioner, in which event the item or items will immediately be withdrawn for individual consideration in its normal sequence after the items not requiring separate discussion have been acted upon. On motion by COMMISSIONER PCT. 2, EDUARDO “EDDIE” CANTU, seconded by COMMISSIONER PCT. 4, ELLIE TORRES, the Court made a UNANIMOUS vote of approval of the Consent Agenda, with the exception of Consent Agenda item 9.A.
Vote: 4 - 0 -Unanimously

Approval of 2020 interdepartmental transfer from TxDOT-Pct 2 Dicker Rd(23rd-Jackson) Project to TxDOT-Pct 2 Eldora(Jackson-I Rd) Rd Project in the amount of $844,682.80 to fund project expenditures.
Approval of 2020 interdepartmental transfer within Health Benefits from program (010) to program (009) in the total amount of $200,000.00.
2. Certificate of Water Service Availability under Texas Local Government Code Section 232.029 (c) (2)
Approval of 2020-21 membership dues for Texas Border Coalition in the amount of $ 30,000.00 with authority for County Treasurer to issue payment after review and auditing procedures are completed by County Auditor
Judge Cortez commented that the Texas Border Coalition is important to support at some level. Judge Cortez recommended a contribution of $10,000.00 in place of the original $30,000.00.
Valde Guerra stated approval subject to funding.
On motion by COMMISSIONER PCT. 2, EDUARDO “EDDIE” CANTU, seconded by COMMISSIONER PCT. 1, DAVID FUENTES, the Court made a UNANIMOUS vote of approval of contribution of $10,000.00 in place of the original $30,000.00 subject to funding.
Vote: 4 - 0 -Unanimously
The court proceeded back to the Regular Commissioners Court agenda - item 5. (Audio Reference #1 - 51m:26s)
Requesting approval to pay for yearly memberships for Roberto Chavez, Fire Investigator, and for Miguel Guerra, Fire Investigator, payable to the International Association of Arson Investigators in the amount of $135.00 for each employee, with authorization for County Treasurer to issue payment once auditing procedures are completed by County Auditor.
Requesting approval to pay membership dues for the Texas District & County Attorneys Association (TDCAA) for several District Attorney's Office employees, in the amount of $400.00 (Requisition #417663), with authority for the County Treasurer to issue check after review, audit and procedures are completed by the County Auditor.
