BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this 25th day of August A.D., 2020, there was begun and held a SPECIAL MEETING of the Honorable Commissioners’ Court of Hidalgo County, Texas, wherein the following members thereof were present, to-wit:

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Commissioners Court will be held in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Administration Building, 100 E. Cano, 1st floor, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

Presentation and discussion on the 2021 Budget (Audio Reference 1h:54m 39s)
Sergio Cruz with the Budget & Management Department gave an overview of the Budget Workshop Packet. Mr. Cruz explained how the revenue has been affected due to the COVID-19 pandemic, possibilities on how to generate more funds, and how the court needs to strategize for the opening of the new courthouse. Lastly, Mr. Cruz recommended to the court to remain as conservative as possible with expenditures to help maintain the fund balance.
No action was taken on item 2.
