Cano, 1st floor, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

On behalf of the District Attorney's Office, Misti Palacios read the Proclamation declaring January 2021 as National Slavery & Human Trafficking Prevention Month.
District Attorney, Ricardo Rodriguez, Chief Prosecutor for Domestic Violence, Amy Cantu, Jesus Sanchez with the Children's Advocacy Center, and Co-Chairman of the RGV Anti Human Trafficking Task Force, Juan Cano, came before the court and expressed their gratitude towards the court for their collaborative efforts, as well as the different options that are available to educate the community, and bring awareness to help prevent slavery & human trafficking.

Martha Salazar stated that the the Auditor's Office made an observation as to what would be the funding source, in which Sergio Cruz recommended that it be funded through the county's Capital Projects Fund.
