NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a SPECIAL MEETING of the Commissioners Court will be held in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Administration Building, 100 E. Cano, 1st floor, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:

In accordance with Section 551.127, NOTICE is hereby given that a physical quorum, including the presiding officer/member, will be present at the specified meeting location.  Some members of the governing body and/or government officials may participate via videoconference.

Participant, Elijah Casas, came before the Court to request assistance in promoting the GLO Harp Program.

Participants, Sesbastian Interlandi and Cody Bryant, came before the Court to propose an agriculture project located at the Donna County Park.

Participant, Fern McClaugherty, came before the Court to express her concerns with agenda items 7.A and 7.C.

Participant, Nadia Briones, came before the Court to express her gratitude towards Commissioner Torres for the street lights that were installed in her colonia.

Valde Guerra stated a correction to the dollar amount stated on agenda item 8.B.1, in which it should state $744,378.00, and not $1,117,000.00

On motion by COMMISSIONER PCT. 3, EVERARDO “EVER” VILLARREAL, seconded by COMMISSIONER PCT. 1, DAVID FUENTES, the Court made a UNANIMOUS vote of approval on agenda item 8.B.1.

Valde Guerra requested to visit this item a second time, stating that the corrected amount was in fact incorrect, and the amount originally stated on agenda item 8.B.1, $1,117,000.00, was correct. 

The Court proceeded with an action to rescind the action taken approving the amount of $744,378.00.

On motion by COMMISSIONER PCT. 3, EVERARDO “EVER” VILLARREAL, seconded by COMMISSIONER PCT. 1, DAVID FUENTES, the Court made a UNANIMOUS vote of approval to rescind the action taken approving the amount of $744,378.00

The Court then proceeded with an action to approve agenda item 8.B.1 as stated on the agenda.
