BE IT REMEMBERED, that on this 22nd day of August A.D., 2023, there was begun and held a WORKSHOP of the Honorable Commissioners’ Court of Hidalgo County, Texas, wherein the following members thereof were present, to-wit:

NOTICE is hereby given in accordance with Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, that a WORKSHOP of the Commissioners Court will be held in the Commissioners Courtroom of the Administration Building, 100 E. Cano, 1st floor, Edinburg, Hidalgo County, Texas. Discussion and possible action relating to the following business will be transacted:
In accordance with Section 551.127, NOTICE is hereby given that a physical quorum, including the presiding officer/member, will be present at the specified meeting location. Some members of the governing body and/or government officials may participate via videoconference.

Discussion on 2024 Budget (Audio Reference 49m:54s)
Commissioner Fuentes joined the Workshop at this time.
Dagoberto Soto Jr., Director of Budget and Management, came before the Court to discuss the 2024 proposed budget number 1. Mr. Soto informed the Court that the aim for the proposed budget is to support the County's strategic priorities while maintaining physical responsibilities. Their primary goal is to ensure allocation of resources, provide essential services, and invests in critical projects. Mr. Soto then proceeded to review the year end projected revenues over expenditures for the physical years 2022 and 2023. The 2024 General Proposed Budget was also reviewed during this Workshop.

Judge Cortez adjourned the Workshop with a vote of approval at 3:55 P.M.
On motion by COMMISSIONER PCT. 3, EVERARDO “EVER” VILLARREAL, seconded by COMMISSIONER PCT. 2, EDUARDO “EDDIE” CANTU, the Court made a UNANIMOUS vote of approval to adjourn the Workshop.
Vote: 4 - 0 - Unanimously
The Court then proceeded to the Regular Agenda Item - 13.C. (Audio Reference 01h:03m:25s)
Judge Cortez adjourned the Workshop with a vote of approval at 3:55 P.M.
On motion by COMMISSIONER PCT. 3, EVERARDO “EVER” VILLARREAL, seconded by COMMISSIONER PCT. 2, EDUARDO “EDDIE” CANTU, the Court made a UNANIMOUS vote of approval to adjourn the Workshop.
