The following items are of a routine or administrative nature. The Commissioners Court has been furnished with background and support on each item, and/or it has been discussed at a previous meeting. All items will be acted upon by one vote without being discussed separately unless requested by a Court Commissioner, in which event the item or items will immediately be withdrawn for individual consideration in its normal sequence after the items not requiring separate discussion have been acted upon. On motion by COMMISSIONER PCT. 1, DAVID FUENTES, seconded by COMMISSIONER PCT. 2, EDUARDO “EDDIE” CANTU, the Court made a UNANIMOUS vote of approval to the Commissioner's Court - Consent Agenda, with the exception of items pulled for discussion.

Public participant Mrs. Fern McClaugherty thanked the Court for including this agenda item and expressed her appreciation for the partnership. She added that she hoped the County would also explore other ways to support students beyond this initiative.
Commissioner David Fuentes noted that the County has been collaborating with Donna North High School teacher Amanda Cedillo on the spay and neuter program. He stated that the County and the school are continuing their efforts to sustain this program and commended the students for their active involvement in addressing the community’s stray pet population. Commissioner Fuentes clarified that, through Health and Human Services, the Court has allocated additional funding to continue the program into the next year.

He further explained that the Purchasing Department uses these items primarily for training and informational purposes and that other departments often request assistance from Purchasing in organizing training sessions.
