The following items are of a routine or administrative nature. The Commissioners Court has been furnished with background and support on each item, and/or it has been discussed at a previous meeting. County Executive Officer, Valde Guerra, requested to pull Consent Agenda Items 4.B.1-3, for further discussion.
On motion by COMMISSIONER PCT. 2, EDUARDO “EDDIE” CANTU, seconded by COMMISSIONER PCT. 3, EVERARDO “EVER” VILLARREAL, the Court made a UNANIMOUS vote of approval to the Commissioner's Court - Consent Agenda, with the exception of items pulled for discussion.

Mr. Valde Guerra stated that Commissioner David Fuentes abstained from any discussion and/or action regarding consent agenda items 4.B.1-3.
On motion by COMMISSIONER PCT. 2, EDUARDO “EDDIE” CANTU, seconded by COMMISSIONER PCT. 4, ELLIE TORRES, the Court made a UNANIMOUS vote of approval on agenda items 4.B.1-3.

Mrs. McClaugherty asked the Court how many veterinarians are working at any given time and how many procedures are being performed for the amount listed. Judge Cortez responded that the County has over 40,000 unattended animals. He explained that the County seeks to support multiple agencies throughout the County in order to provide these services at various locations as a strategy to address animal overpopulation.
Requesting approval of requisition #26002209 for 2026 membership dues for Captain Rocky Serna to the FBI National Academy Associates, Inc. in the amount of $155.00 with authority for the County Treasurer to issue payment after auditing procedures are completed by the County Auditor.

Commissioner Fuentes explained that the County typically utilizes BuyBoard or other state-approved purchasing cooperatives, using vendors that have already completed the procurement process. He noted that costs vary depending on the number of public events attended, such as school fairs and similar functions.
