Authorize the Chairman's signature on the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension appropriation of County funds for Fiscal Year 2026-2027 in the amount of $70,000.
Background Information
In accordance with the provisions of § 3-124 and § 3-126, Arizona Revised Statutes, the Gila County (Cooperative) Extension Board has approved and there is hereby submitted for the approval of the County Board of Supervisors a County cash appropriation in the amount of $70,000 as the County's share of the proposed budget for the conduct of Cooperative Extension programs in the County.
On June 16, 2026, University of Arizona Cooperative Extension staff provided a presentation to the Board of Supervisors regarding the past year's activities of the Gila County Cooperative Extension program and requested funding in the amount of $70,000 for FY 2026.
On July 21, 2026, the Board of Supervisors adopted the Gila County Budget for FY 2027, which included budgeting a $70,000 allocation to the University of Arizona Cooperative Extension to help fund Cooperative Extension programs within Gila County.
On June 16, 2026, University of Arizona Cooperative Extension staff provided a presentation to the Board of Supervisors regarding the past year's activities of the Gila County Cooperative Extension program and requested funding in the amount of $70,000 for FY 2026.
