Approval of Amendment No. 1 to Service Contract No. 051725 - Janitorial Services for Northern and Southern Gila County (Short Term) with Jani-Serv, Inc., to extend the short-term agreement to provide the County with the necessary time to complete the formal solicitation process for a long-term contract.

On June 17, 2025, the Board of Supervisors approved Service Contract No. 051725 - Janitorial Services for Northern and Southern Gila County (Short Term) with Jani-Serv, Inc., for the term of July 1, 2025, through November 30, 2025, for a total amount of $111,946.78.

To ensure the continuation of janitorial services, we will need to initiate a bidding process. However, since the formal solicitation process can take time and our current contract expires on November 30, 2025, it is necessary to extend the short-term agreement with Jani-Serv, Inc. This will maintain janitorial services at the northern and southern locations in Gila County.

To continue necessary janitorial services in northern and southern Gila County locations while the County proceeds with the formal solicitation process, Facilities & Land Management requests approval of Amendment No. 1 to Service Contract No. 051725 to extend the term through February 28, 2026, and increase the contract amount by $67,168.07 for a new contract total not to exceed $179,114.85.

The Facilities & Land Management Department Director recommends that the Board of Supervisors approve Amendment No. 1 to Service Contract No. 051725 - Janitorial Services for Northern and Southern Gila County (Short Term) with Jani-Serv, Inc., to ensure janitorial services continue during the formal solicitation process for a long-term contract.
