Authorization to Advertise Invitation for Bids (IFB) No. 09042025 - Janitorial Services.
Background Information
On August 3, 2021, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract No. CTR050894 with Jani-Serv, Inc. for janitorial services for the northern and southern regions of Gila County. The initial term of the contract was for one year from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022, with the option to renew the contract for up to three (3) additional one (1)-year terms.
On July 2, 2024, the Board of Supervisors approved the final renewal on Contract No. CTR050894 for the term of July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025.
On June 17, 2025, the Board of Supervisors approved a short-term, stop-gap agreement to continue janitorial services for northern and southern Gila County facilities while Facilities & Land Management seeks a long-term solution through the formal solicitation process. The Facilities & Land Management Department is seeking bids from qualified contracts for professional janitorial services that will serve both northern and southern Gila County.

Evaluation
Gila County requires professional janitorial services to ensure a clean and sanitary environment across various facilities in both the northern and southern regions of the County. The Facilities & Land Management Department plans to establish a contract for ongoing janitorial services through a formal solicitation process.
Conclusion
By approving the IFB for janitorial services that will serve both northern and southern Gila County, the Facilities & Land Management Department will be able to obtain competitive bids from qualified contractors.
Recommendation
The Facilities & Land Management Director and staff respectfully recommend that the Board of Supervisors authorize the advertisement of IFB No. 09042025 - Janitorial Services.
