The task force is led by an Avondale sergeant with the goals of reducing human trafficking in the west valley.

Participation in the West Valley Human Trafficking Task Force allows for a cooperative effort to investigate criminal offenses concerning human trafficking of adults and minors.

The detective assigned to the task force may receive reimbursements for overtime, travel and training while involved with task force operations. The Department's participation will allow the Department to assist with addressing the crimes of human trafficking in Goodyear and the West Valley.
