The proposed Ordinance will revise Goodyear City Code Article 11-1 to add clarification to the restrictions and requirements of Section 11-1-8 (Noise).

There will be no direct fiscal impact on the City in FY 2024 or future years related to the adoption of this Ordinance and related City Code amendment.

There have been no recent discussions or Council action regarding the proposed amendment to Section 11-1-8. 

Section 11-1-8 Noise of Goodyear City Code has not been amended since August 28, 2000, with the passage of Ordinance 2000-693. The proposed amendments to Section 11-1-8 will provide clarification on places where enforcement action may be taken, such as homes in residential neighborhoods. This revision also provided clarification on landscaping work hours and types of equipment that may not be used unless operated within the approved working hours. Clarifying language was also added exempting golf courses within the City of Goodyear from certain provisions relating to equipment used and hours of operation.
