SUMMARY

Adopt the results of the Special Election held May 21, 2024 for the city of Goodyear General Plan 2035.

RECOMMENDATION

ADOPT RESOLUTION NO. 2024-2403, DECLARING AND ADOPTING THE RESULTS OF THE SPECIAL ELECTION FOR THE GENERAL PLAN HELD ON MAY 21, 2024; DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE VOTE ON THE GENERAL PLAN 2035: GROWING GOODYEAR, PLANNING OUR FUTURE QUESTION; ORDERING THE CITY CLERK TO RECORD THIS RESOLUTION; AND SETTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS ACTIONS

On November 13, 2023, City Council called for a Special Election and referred the General Plan to the voters for approval.  The Special Election took place on May 21, 2024.
