SUMMARY
This item requests Council approval to appoint Vice Mayor to a one-year term beginning January 1, 2026. The Vice Mayor serves as acting Mayor when needed and provides ongoing support to the Mayor in carrying out the legislative and administrative responsibilities of the Council.

RECOMMENDATION
Appoint Vice Mayor to a one-year term beginning in January 2026, with the subsequent Vice Mayor to be selected during the 2027 Council induction. (Joe Pizzillo, Mayor)
STIPULATIONS
The Vice Mayor’s term shall begin on January 1, 2026, and conclude at the January 2027 Council induction, at which time a new Vice Mayor will be selected. The Vice Mayor shall perform the duties of Mayor in the Mayor’s absence.
