The Goodyear Youth Commission will present an overview to the Council of its two major Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 initiatives: the Need 4 Speed Safe Driving Event and the Boarding Pass to a Better You: Basic Life Skills and Mental Health Resource Fair. The presentation will include key highlights, participation data, and outcomes from both events.
The Need 4 Speed event emphasized safe driving education through hands-on demonstrations and partnerships with community safety organizations. The Boarding Pass to a Better You event provided youth with practical life skills training and access to mental health resources, supported through collaboration with multiple City departments and community partners.
This annual update will highlight the Youth Commission’s activities and the overall impact of these initiatives on local students and the broader community.
