Summary
Staff will present the results of the 2022 Employee Engagement and Satisfaction Survey. (Lyman Locket, Human Resources Director)

BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS ACTIONS
The purpose of this work session is to provide Council with data from the 2022 Employee Engagement and Satisfaction Survey and answer any related questions.
As a measurement component of our Intentional Design of Goodyear’s Culture initiative, we conduct an employee survey every two years to gauge the pulse of employee satisfaction and engagement. The results of the survey provide the city with valuable information on our workplace culture and employee experience.
We contract with POLCO to conduct the survey, using their survey instrument The National Employee Survey (NES). The NES is specific to local governments allowing Goodyear to benchmark our results against other cities and county government agencies. The NES captures employee opinions in the following categories:

STAFF ANALYSIS
Of the 724 employees invited to take the survey, 651 completed the survey for a 90% participation rate. Our participation rate is 30% higher than the POLCO national average giving us high confidence in the significance of the data.
