Summary
The City has been approached by developers for areas in south Goodyear for approval to utilize private water and sewer providers. City staff will provide a summary of the impacts associated with allowing private water and sewer providers in this area. (Barbara Chappell, Water Services Director)

There is no immediate fiscal impact.
BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS ACTIONS
The City of Goodyear currently has three water and sewer providers in its jurisdictional boundaries, see map attached. In the EPCOR Water service area, the city provides sewer service and in the Liberty Utilities service area, Liberty provides water and sewer services.
In the past, the city has left the option open for serving areas of the city south of the Pecos Road alignment. This is the area referred to by “south Goodyear”.
