CITY COUNCIL ACTION REPORT
| SUBJECT: | ACCEPTANCE OF A TRAFFIC CONTROL EASEMENT RELATED TO THE ESTRELLA FOOTHILLS HIGH SCHOOL TRAFFIC SIGNAL PROJECT |

SUMMARY:
Acceptance of a Traffic Control Easement located on the southeast corner of the intersection of S. Estrella Parkway and the Estrella Foothills High School north entry which is required to allow the City of Goodyear to construct and maintain new traffic signal equipment at entrance to the school and the Foothills Community Park.
Recommendation:
Accept a Traffic Control Easement from Buckeye Union High School District, No. 201 and authorize its execution and recordation with the Maricopa County Recorder. (Linda Beals, Real Estate Coordinator)
FISCAL IMPACT:
There will be no fiscal impact to the city in the fiscal year 2021 or future years with the acceptance of this easement.
BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS ACTIONS:
The traffic signal installation at this location within the Estrella Mountain Ranch Community is part of the FY2021 CIP project. The Traffic Control Easement is being dedicated by Buckeye Union High School District, No. 201 and is required to allow the City of Goodyear to construct and maintain new traffic signal equipment on S. Estrella Parkway at the entrance of Estrella Foothills High School and the Foothills Community Park.
STAFF ANALYSIS
The location of the Traffic Control Easement has been reviewed City Engineering staff and the easement is necessary in order to allow the City to install and maintain the traffic signals at this location. Accordingly, staff recommends the acceptance of this Traffic Control Easement.
