RECOMMENDATION
Authorization for expenditure of funds up to the amount of $1,364,600 for LED field lighting. (Bruce Kessman, Deputy Director Parks and Recreation)
FISCAL IMPACT
Funding for this Capital Improvement Project of $1,364,600 was approved in the FY25 budget. The project includes a 25-year warranty that will cover 100% of the maintenance costs.
STAFF ANALYSIS
Converting field lighting to LED technology has become an industry best practice. In addition to being more energy efficient, LED lighting also provides a higher quality of light, which will improve visibility on the field.
