SUBJECT: SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE COMPREHENSIVE SIGN PACKAGE (CSP) FOR GOODYEAR MUNICIPAL COMPLEX

SUMMARY

A request to amend the Goodyear Municipal Complex Comprehensive Sign Package (CSP) (Attachment A), located on the southeast corner of Van Buren Street and 145th Avenue.  An aerial photo of the location is included as Attachment B.   

STRATEGIC PLAN ALIGNMENT

     

RECOMMENDATION

Approve the Goodyear Municipal Complex CSP Amendment 2 dated July 2025, subject to stipulations. (Jimmy Carreon, Assistant Planner)

STIPULATIONS

  1. All signs shall be in conformance with the Goodyear Municipal Complex CSP dated July 2025; and
  2. Off-site signage is prohibited; and
  3. No signage shall be placed within city rights-of-way.

FISCAL IMPACT

There is no direct fiscal impact associated with the approval of the Goodyear Municipal Complex CSP Amendment 2.

BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS ACTIONS

On August 13, 2025, the request to amend the Goodyear Municipal Complex CSP was on the Planning and Zoning (P&Z) Commission agenda, and the P&Z Commission voted 6-0 to recommend approval.

Additional details regarding the previous actions are provided in the P&Z Commission Staff Report (Attachment C).

STAFF ANALYSIS

Staff recommends that the City Council approve the Goodyear Municipal Complex CSP amendment, consistent with the P&Z Commission's approval recommendation.
