CALL TO ORDER
Vice Chair Stewart called the Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board meeting to order at 8:03 a.m.

Human Resources Director Lyman Locket, Total Compensation Administrator Jeanni Ruddy
Vice Chair Michael Stewart and Board Attorney Lesli Sorensen participated via teleconference. 
 

MOTION BY Boardmember Eric Webster, SECONDED BY Boardmember Joe Perry to EXCUSE Laura Kaino and Jay Mathias from the meeting. The motion carried by the following vote:

Approve the Minutes
 

MOTION BY Boardmember Eric Webster, SECONDED BY Boardmember Joe Perry to APPROVE the draft minutes from the Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board Special Meetings of June 24, 2021 and July 9, 2021 and Regular Meeting of May 27, 2021. The motion carried by the following vote:

Review, consider and possible action on the Application for entry into the Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP) - Scott Benson effective July 10, 2021
 

MOTION BY Boardmember Eric Webster, SECONDED BY Boardmember Joe Perry to ACCEPT the Application for entry into the Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP) for Scott Benson effective July 10, 2021. The motion carried by the following vote:

Review, consider and possible action on the Application and Medical Records for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System - David Hellmer
 

MOTION BY Boardmember Eric Webster, SECONDED BY Boardmember Joe Perry 
to ACCEPT the application for David Hellmer for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System as a Goodyear employee with pre-existing conditions. The motion carried by the following vote:

Review, consider and possible action on the Application and Medical Records for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System - Jordan Stevens
 

MOTION BY Boardmember Eric Webster, SECONDED BY Boardmember Joe Perry to ACCEPT the application for Jordan Stevens for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System as a Goodyear employee with pre-existing conditions. The motion carried by the following vote:

Review, consider and possible action on the application and medical records for Accidental Disability - Michael McFadden (Last heard on May 27, 2021)
Board Attorney Lesli Sorenson clarified the following questions with the Board.

1. Did the employee file the application after the disabling incident, or within one year of ceasing to be an employee? Yes.

2. Did (or will) the employee terminate by reason of a disability? Yes.

3. Did employment terminate based on a disciplinary issue? No.

4. If the member's period of DROP has ended, if applicable, did (or will) the employee terminate by a reason of disability? Not applicable.

5. Is the employee still working a position within their job classification that the Local Board considers a reasonable range of duties position? No.

6. Has the employee refused a position within their job classification that the Local Board considered a reasonable range of duties? No.

7. Did the injury or condition occur prior to the current PSPRS membership date? No.

8. Was the injury or condition the result of an event incurred during the performance of the employee's duty? Yes.
 

MOTION BY Boardmember Eric Webster, SECONDED BY Boardmember Joe Perry to APPROVE the application for accidental disability for Michael McFadden based on the work-related injuries. The motion carried by the following vote:
