New Commissioner Swearing-in Ceremony (Darcie McCracken, City Clerk)
City Clerk Darcie McCraken conducted a swearing-in for newly appointed Youth Commissioners: Alex Belanger, Emily McGee, Lyndon Kov, Emma Yocopis; Azyus Bird and Krislyn Lyons.
Mayor Georgia Lord welcomed the Youth Commissioners and thanked them for thier service to the city of Goodyear.
City Clerk Darcie McCraken conducted a swearing-in for newly appointed Youth Commissioners: Alex Belanger, Emily McGee, Lyndon Kov, Emma Yocopis; Azyus Bird and Krislyn Lyons.

Assistant to the Council John Raeder reviewed the criteria in the Youth Commission By-Laws for selecting the Chair and Vice Chair positions.
Commissioner Makayla Bradley and Vice Chair Victoria Lauritano expressed interest in serving as Chair and explained why they wanted to serve and what they hoped to accomplish.

Youth Commission Overview and Upcoming Activities (John Raeder, Assistant to the Council)
Assistant to the Council John Raeder provided an overview of the Youth Commission, including the purpose of the Commission and accomplishments from FY21. Mr. Raeder also reviewed upcoming events and activities.

Goodyear Recreation Campus Overview and Tour (Parks and Recreation Staff)
Recreation Coordinator Steve Richardson provided a presentation on the Goodyear Recreation Campus. He explained that the Recreation Center includes a teen room, indoor walking track, community rooms, indoor courts and workout areas. The Campus also has a 30-acre community park and aquatics center. Mr. Richardson noted that the Parks and Recreation Department would welcome assistance from the Youth Commission with programing space and hosting events.
Mr. Richardson provided a tour of the Recreation Center for Commissioners and guests.
