| BUSINESS |
1.
FALL EVENTS AND OPPORTUNITIES TO ADVOCATE FOR THE ARTS IN GOODYEAR
Committee discussed goal of creating more engagement on social media platforms. Through this, more visibility would be given to Goodyear Arts events and programs. To accomplish this goal the committee asked that staff create a Goodyear Arts & Culture selfie wall that has #ARTSINGOODYEAR prominently displayed. Committee asked that a “call to action” would be best received if it is incentivized. Additional suggestions included creating a “Where are you going board” to have people interact by marking a map to show what events and public artwork they plan on visiting and to have a business card printed with a QR code that directs public to ACC social media. The committee asked that staff include youth interaction activities at Ballet Under the Stars such as Arts & Crafts, button maker, jewelry making.
2.
CREATIVE WAYS TO ENGAGE WITH GOODYEAR RESIDENTS TO IDENTIFY WHAT THEY THINK IS MISSING IN GOODYEAR ARTS & CULTURE PROGRAMMING
The committee discussed the importance of hearing from residents. Currently, staff surveys participants after programs and events. The committee recommends moving the survey element to polling people on social media. Through this delivery method we will receive more responses from a wider demographic.
3.
SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS UPDATE
Recreation Programmer Becerra reported that the Goodyear Arts & Culture YouTube channel has almost 100 subscribers. Once we hit 100 we will be able to get a specific URL for the page. This will help with promoting virtual programs on this platform.
