CALL TO ORDER

Chairman Laura Kaino called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.

MOTION BY Boardmember Eric Webster, SECONDED BY Vice Chair Michael Stewart to EXCUSE Boardmember Joe Perry from the meeting. The motion carried by the following vote:

MOTION BY Vice Chair Michael Stewart, SECONDED BY Boardmember Jay Mathias to APPROVE the minutes from the September 23, 2021, Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board Meeting. The motion carried by the following vote:

Review, discussion and possible action on the Application for Enrollment into the Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP) - Jason DeHaan

MOTION BY Boardmember Eric Webster, SECONDED BY Vice Chair Michael Stewart to ACCEPT the Application for entry into the Deferred Retirement Option Plan (DROP) for Jason DeHaan effective October 2, 2021. The motion carried by the following vote:

Review, discussion and possible action regarding the application and medical records for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System - Kyle Wax

MOTION BY Boardmember Jay Mathias, SECONDED BY Boardmember Eric Webster to ACCEPT the application for Kyle Wax for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System as a Goodyear employee with no pre-existing conditions. The motion carried by the following vote:

Reconsideration and possible action regarding the application and medical records previously approved for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System on September 23, 2021 - Micah McElrath

Chairman Laura Kaino explained that on September 23, 2021, the Board approved Micah McElrath's entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System with a pre-existing condition. After further review of the additional records received from Officer McElrath's previous employment, he did not have any pre-existing conditions when he first entered PSPRS with the City of Phoenix.

MOTION BY Vice Chair Michael Stewart, SECONDED BY Boardmember Eric Webster to reconsider the Board's previous action and APPROVE the application for Micah McElrath for entry into the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System with no pre-existing conditions. The motion carried by the following vote:

AYE:: Chairman Laura Kaino, Vice Chair Michael Stewart, Boardmember Jay Mathias, Boardmember Eric Webster

INFORMATION ITEMS

Board Secretary Darcie McCracken briefly provided information regarding the comment period for the draft PSPRS Model Uniform Rules of Local Board Procedure.

NEXT MEETING

The next meeting of the Police Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, December 9, 2021.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business to discuss, Chairman Kaino adjourned the meeting at 8:08 a.m.
