CALL TO ORDER
Chairman Lauritano called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m.
 
ROLL CALL
Present:
Chairman Sheri Lauritano; Councilmember Wally Campbell; Councilmember Laura Kaino
Staff Present:
City Clerk Darcie McCracken; Assistant to the Council John Raeder
 
BUSINESS
 
1.
Review, discussion and possible action to reappoint members to the following committees:
  • Arts and Culture Commission
  • Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board - Police
  • Public Safety Personnel Retirement Board - Fire
  • Planning and Zoning Commission
 

MOTION BY Councilmember Laura Kaino, SECONDED BY Councilmember Wally Campbell to REAPPOINT Jennifer Barnes, Holly McKenzie and Brian Cross to the Arts and Culture Commission to terms to begin January 1, 2022 and end December 31, 2024; REAPPOINT Jay Mathias to the Police and Fire Public Safety Personnel Retirement Boards for an additional term; and REAPPOINT Gregg Clymer to the Planning and Zoning Commission to an additional term. The motion carried as follows:

Chairman Sheri Lauritano, Councilmember Wally Campbell, Councilmember Laura Kaino

Passed - Unanimously

 
2.
Review, discussion and possible action on allowing non Goodyear residents to apply and be appointed to the Fire/Building/Code Enforcement Appeals Board.
The Subcommittee discussed allowing non Goodyear residents the ability to serve on the Fire/Building/Code Enforcement Appeals Board and requested additional information from the City Clerk.  The Subcommittee will also be reaching out to their community connections.
 
3.
Review, discussion and possible action on changes made to the current Boards, Commissions and Committees process last updated in 2013.
This item was removed by the City Clerk.
 
4.
Review, discussion and possible action on any direction for recruiting for vacant and expiring positions.
The Subcommittee discussed recruiting efforts and will be reaching out to their community connections.

NEXT MEETING

The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for January 2022.
 
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to discuss, Chairman Lauritano adjourned the meeting at 3:45 p.m.
